Enabling Mic Boost

If you find that your microphone volume tends to be low, when using it for recording or speaking we recommend you check the following

  1. Check that the volume is adjusted correctly in your Creative Surround Mixer

  2. Also, Select Start - Settings - Control Panel - Sound and Audio Devices

  3. In the Voice tab, under the Voice recording section, ensure that the Microphone is selected and click the Volume... button

  4. Click the Advanced button under Microphone ansure that Mic Boost is checked.




  5. In order to achieve a sustainable volume, ensure your microphone meets the following specification.

MIC IN: 10 - 200 mV input range, 600 ohms impedance, Mono input
